Music: Music is apart of Popular Culture by the many different types of music there is, i.e Hip-Hop, Pop, Dance, and more. There are many types of people that listen to certain types of music. everywhere you go there is almost always music playing around you, when your shopping for clothes there's the latest hits playing or when your out eating dinner there's music playing to the theme of the restaurant.
Body Modification: Body modification is a new thing in popular culture because of the advancements there is in society. Most body piercings and tattoos started in Africa as their way of saying you was apart of what tribe. Now its everywhere, people getting things pierced just because it looks cool. And tattoos usually are decided on after planing and really thinking about what you want to have on your body forever.
Social Media: Facebook, Twitter, Tumbler, and MySpace are just some of the few social medias out there. And almost everyone and every company is on it. When a new company comes out and they want more people to know about them they put ads on Facebook. There are even commercials for everything now telling people to like them on Facebook. My entire family is on Facebook, that is how everyone keeps in touch with one another. You don't even have to talk to them and they will know what your doing just by up dating your status.
I’m a fan of Deadmau5 and I’ve heard “Super Bass” by Nicki Minaj enough times in my life, so I ended up listening to “Professional” the whole time I was checking out your glog on popular culture. In general, I like your glog on popular culture; it’s simple and well designed. I have a question: is the picture by Brooke Photography of you when you got your shoulder tattoo done? I’m not sure if I could spend three hours on Facebook simply updating my status and viewing others’. If you don’t mind me asking, do you play games or view other apps when on Facebook or do you mainly focus on the social aspect of the social media site?
I love your glog. It is so awesome to view everybody's tours and see that our lives involved in popular culture is like who we are. I find it interesting even myself....I can spend hours and hours on facebook. sometimes I don't even know what I was doing on there the whole time. I will look at the clock and be SO surprised that is a certain time and I just wonder how I wasted.....5hours.....doing a simple homework assignment.......well I was most likely browsing facebook and youtube for ......4.5 hrs of that.
